Robert C. Witkowski, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Witkowski received his medical degree from Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois ,where he also did his residency and internship, and received the Intern of the Year Award. He attended Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, where he was awarded the Nathan M. Freer Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior, and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Dr. Witkowski is board certified in General Surgery. His medical affiliations include the American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, Cook County Medical Society, The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He serves as Trauma Director for Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois, and has received the Distinguished Service Award.

With a special interest in the treatment of oncologic surgery, Dr. Witkowski has published articles on Computed Tomography of the Abdomen as an Aid to Preoperative Diagnosis, and has been the keynote speaker at the “Y Me” Breast Cancer Panel since 1998.

Dr. Witkowski is a native of the Chicago area and resides with his wife and children in the northwest suburbs.
